COCO sweater by ANKESTRiCK
COCO sweater by ANKESTRiCK
The COCO sweater is the newest addition to my Armour family … It seems that I have a thing with this stitch pattern, it is so easy to knit yet so effective. And I also have a thing with a beautiful and elegant boat neck … all reflected in that name. For me the word COCO itself looks like this texture and of course Madame Chanel was one of the inventors of the boat neck.
The pattern comes with both: the sweater and the slipover version.
The COCO sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down. Start working the back and shape it with short rows before working flat in armour stitch pattern to the length of the armhole. The front sts are then picked up from the back CO edge and the neck sts are cast on to work the front to the length of the armhole. At underarm back and front are joined to work the body in armour stitch pattern in the round down to the bottom hem. After the body is completed, the sleeve sts are picked up around the arm opening to work the sleeves top down in stockinette stitch in the round to the end.
