Thrilled to have found Great British Yarns. Customer service: friendly, delivery of yarn: fast and efficient, and the quality of yarns stocked: exciting and perfect for my needs (avid sweater knitter). Also, if I had a question I wouldn't hesitate to contact this supplier for advice. Oh, as for the Donegal wool soft: I personally love the yarn, for it's colourways, it's increasing softness, it's price to quality ratio. Can't comment on durability (as yet) but truly hoping for heirloom status. Also (purists look away now), I washed this yarn in a machine on wool wash programme and the sweater came out even better than pre-wash, though it took an ages to air dry, as in 5 days.

Juicy and delicious

It's hard to express just how much I love these wools from Studio Donegal. This aubergine Soft Donegal is a deep grey-purple with gorgeous neps that are a superb contrast to the dark background. If only it were edible!
