Robin Sweater by Susanne Müller
Robin Sweater by Susanne Müller
Cropped oversized sweater with wide batwing sleeves, ideal for pairing with high-waisted trousers and skirts.
The sweater is knitted seamlessly from top to bottom. First, the collar is worked in a ribbed pattern in rounds, then the neckline is shaped by means of shortened rows (in back and back rows). After shaping the neckline, we knit rounds and work on the shoulders (in each round) for the batwing sleeves. For the armholes, the front and back parts are knitted separately in back and forth rows. Then the stitches of the front and back are combined and knitting is done again in rounds, with decreases for the lower sleeve beveling in each round. The sweater ends with a narrow ribbed cuff.
For the narrow sleeve cuffs, stitches from the armholes are then picked up and knitted in a ribbed pattern until the desired length is reached.
Techniques used: Italian cast-on, Shortened rows with wrap stitches, Increases with left and right inclination, Double symmetrical decreases, Tubular bind off.
