Both the Javelin pullover and the Javelin shawl are about strength and resilience. A sort of body armour, they were born during the most difficult time in the history of Ukraine and Europe.

Javelin is an old Celtic word, which means a light spear thrown in a competitive sport or used as a weapon. The textured ribbing used in this pattern does resemble little spears.

It is a crescent shaped shawl, that is knit top-down. The pattern comes with row by row written instructions, as well as charts for each section.
