Cosma

COSMA is a vegan, eight-ply twisted yarn made of 60% organic Pima cotton and 40% modal. With a meterage of 100 m on 50 g (109 yd. on 1.76 oz.) it has a classic DK weight. Cosma uses only Peruvian Pima cotton of exceptional organic quality.

The modal, a modern, synthetically obtained natural fibre made of 100% natural beech wood cellulose, is sourced from Austria in sustainably certified quality. The result is a yarn with a delicate sheen and an exceptionally soft feel, which we have spun and dyed by our fair-trade certified production partner in Peru.

The blend of Pima cotton and modal makes the yarn particularly breathable and allows high moisture absorption with rapid drying. Therefore, COSMA is ideal for light summer knits. Airy tops, sweaters and jackets that are very comfortable to wear directly on the skin and have a great fall, lace and textured patterns are very beautifully expressed. Easy to care for and machine washable, COSMA is also an excellent choice for baby and children’s knits and is also very suitable for crocheting.

Care: COSMA can be washed in the wool cycle in the washing machine at 30°. We recommend the use of a neutral, mild wool detergent without enzymes and plasticizers, in very low doses. Then dry the knitted piece gently lying flat and avoid direct sunlight.
